Danille Turissini has made it her life’s ambition to inform, empower, energize and engage likeminded citizens in a lifestyle of advocacy and community bridge building. She is passionate about facilitating strong community relationships and helping people make meaningful connections in the communities they live and serve.
Danille has been active in public policy and grassroots networking for over 32 years. Danille is credited with developing a statewide grassroots citizen action network in Washington State.
During the 2006 Washington State Legislative Session, she served as the Associate Legislative Aid for the Washington State House of Representatives, House Republican Caucus Media Services.
She is a co-founder and served as the executive director of PEAK Leadership, a 10-month adult community leadership development program that was offered in Clallam and Jefferson Counties for three years, from 2008-2011.
Danille is a founding member of the EDC Team Jefferson, the Jefferson County State designated Associate Development Organization (ADO); former member of the Peninsula Development District regional council on economic development.
For the past five years, Danille has been walking the halls of our Washington State Legislature and Capitol Campus, as the Grassroots Director for the Family Policy Institute of Washington. As such, she has trained over 1,000 citizens from across the State of Washington, in knowing how to productively navigate the legislative process and build bridges, not barriers, with the people who work in Olympia. In 2012, she was the legislative liaison for the Music Matters special license plate, sponsored by Music Aid Northwest to fund music programs in schools.
Danille resides in Port Ludlow with Dave, her husband of 33 years, who is the program manager for the Sound Transit Express Bus Service. Together, the Turissinis have five children, including a a son-in-law and daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren; an umbrella cockatoo named Daisy, and their dog, Jasper.
